Inside Team Takeover: A Grassroots Journey - Week 1 Recap
Week 1 with the Team Takeover Grassroots program at Georgetown University was an amazing experience. Watching these kids give it their all in such a prestigious setting was truly inspiring. For those unfamiliar, Team Takeover Grassroots is the youth development arm of the legendary Team Takeover NIKE EYBL, and in my opinion, it’s one of the best youth programs in the DMV.
What really stands out about the program is how much they emphasize both growth and transparency. There's no sugarcoating here—they hold the kids to high standards and push them to get better every step of the way. I appreciate that as a parent. It’s not just about basketball; it’s about helping them realize their potential.
It’s a powerful reminder that success is about putting in the work, staying focused, and being committed to the process. Having my son be part of this journey has been an exciting ride, and I can’t wait to see how these young athletes continue to grow and develop through the program.
